Iceland, though the youngest nation in Scandinavia, has a culture that can be traced long back in Scandinavian history. This March, Japan’s growing interest in Iceland will be rewarded with Bio 06 Icelandic Film Festival 2006. The festival celebrates the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Iceland. Glaciers, volcanos, hot springs, and Bjork! Featured films will slice deeper and far beyond the stereotypes of this unknown land.
Experience the dynamic landscape and mindscape of Iceland and the energy of its culture from the cynical yet fantastical films of the northern paradise!
